Day 1 Is Upon Us!

Let's be honest. There's really not much we can tell you that Principal Macri hasn't already written in his last two Blasts.

Mainly, we just wanted to say hi!

BUT... in the event you didn't see some of the info he sent, here's THE LINK to Rocco's "Welcome Back" Blast from last week.

And here's a summary of the more crucial info:

ARRIVALS

  • 6th grade - 8:30 at yard entrance on 20th Street and 2nd Ave. (8:20 starting on Friday)
  • 7th grade - 8:20 at 20th Street school entrance between 2nd and 1st Aves.
  • 8th grade - 8:20 at 21st Street school entrance between 2nd and 1st Aves.

DISMISSAL

  • All students are self-dismissed at 2:40. 6th grade parents hoping to pick-up can do so at the same yard entrance on 20th Street and 2nd Ave.

Here's the 6th grade SUPPLY LIST.

If you haven't gotten all of it yet, don't panic. Not having every color folder on Day 1 is not going to affect your student's grade. ;)

But it's a good idea to get the rest of what you might need this weekend if you can.

Here's the CELL PHONE POLICY. Definitely worth a peak. It applies to all types of phones, including whatever the latest model is, maybe the iPhone 27 Pro Max Ultra Rad Super Extreme? I'm not sure. I still have a 7-Plus.

All students will find out their CLASS PLACEMENTS tomorrow morning - 6th graders at arrival, 7th and 8th graders after reporting to last year's homeroom. These assignments are likely, but not guaranteed, to be the same as whatever you or your student may have found out on MySchools in the last few weeks. The DOE released that information early by accident. And yes, I sort of just threw the DOE under the School Bus there.

And finally, Principal Macri's Blast from yesterday can be found HERE. It's got all this same info in it, but also some very important updates on staffing, including new members to our team as well as new positions for existing members.

A special shout-out goes to 7-year MS104 veteran, Ms. Lyndsay Boelsen, who's been elevated to the position of Assistant Principal, Interim Acting. But don't let the "Interim Acting" part fool ya. Ms. Boelsen is here to stay, and we couldn't be happier about that!

That's it for now. Thank you for signing up to receive the Baruch Blast. The Blast is our main source of communication, and we highly encourage you to find the time to review them regularly.

And please visit ms104.com for constant updates and information and/or contact us anytime at baruch104pta@gmail.com with any questions or comments.

We hope tomorrow is a beautiful day for you and yours.
