Doig Intermediate Students Learn the Violin

GGUSD proudly maintains music programs at all elementary, intermediate, and high schools. Over the last five years, the overall number of sections of music classes at our Intermediate Schools has grown by 20% and last year our music program expanded to our preschool students receiving special education services. These are just a couple of the examples that have led to GGUSD being named a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM foundations for the fifth consecutive year.

GGUSD Board of Education Honors Employees of the Month

At its meeting on Tuesday, GGUSD's Board of Education recognized our September Employees of the Month: Angelique Armstrong, clerk at Jordan ATP and Dawn Loya-Huizar, preschool teacher at Clinton Corner. Paine Elementary School Students Practice Bus Safety

At the beginning of the school year, students practice safety procedures including bus safety and evacuation drills. Last week, Paine Elementary students learned safe practices while riding a bus and did a fantastic job practicing how to quickly exit the bus in an orderly manner if necessary. GGUSD's Transportation Department, bus drivers, and Paine staff and students worked together to make the learning experience a success! #GGUSDPride

School Community Liaisons Connect with Families

Yesterday, GGUSD hosted an all-day professional development training and resource fair for the district's nearly 150 school community liaisons who do an excellent job facilitating communication with families, providing written translations and oral interpretation, leading and supporting parent meetings, and ensuring GGUSD families can easily connect and communicate with their schools. The resource fair was a great way for our liaisons to strengthen their relationships with our awesome community partners!
