Well Equipped For Leaf Removal

Fall has arrived! Most trees are showing off their beautiful fall colors and already dropping their leaves. Through November we will be primarily focusing on leaf clean-up and are well equipped to be efficient and effective.

To maximize our leaf removal efficiency, we have 50 trailer-mounted leaf vacuums, as shown above, which quickly pick up leaves. Our crews use blowers to consolidate leaves into piles or wind rows and then vacuum them up. During November, our crews work Saturdays to allow us to work on sites that are normally car-filled parking lots. We adjust our schedule to improve efficiency and reduce our impact on customers' businesses.

As the rain sets in, we will continue mowing on a bi-weekly schedule being mindful of the rain to reduce possible damage as seen above. We watch the weather forecast and monitor conditions and will avoid mowing during very rainy stretches. We will stay busy focusing both on leaf removal and final mowings during any upcoming dry stretches.

To aid in overall site clean-up we recommend an increase in parking lot sweeps during the fall. Combined with our landscape leaf removal efforts, increased sweeping will keep your site cleaner during this messy time of year. We are also happy to coordinate with your sweeping vendor to ensure cooperation.

During the Fall, we will pick up over 50,000 cubic yards of leaves, that is over 3,000 of our trucks full of leaves or the equivalent of a football field covered with 20 feet of leaves. That is a lot of leaves but it is all recycled and composted into garden mulch for reuse. Some have asked if we do this ourselves but we don't. We instead utilize several existing composting businesses in the area as this is the most cost-effective method and they are better set up to do this.  http://www.pacscape.com/services/leaf-removal.php
