PARK365 Summer News
Hi there!
Welcome to PARK365 Quarterly, a seasonal (short) e-newsletter to keep you up-to-date on happenings in one of our favorite places in Richmond, PARK365.
Summer Series at PARK365
We’ve been having so much fun with our Summer Series at PARK365!

Each month this summer, SOAR365 is hosting an evening of accessible fun in PARK365, featuring food trucks, music and family-friendly activities from our community partners.

Last week, we teamed up with Sportable to offer free, inclusive activities for the whole family. Coming up in August, we’ll welcome Beyond Boundaries to PARK365, along with a petting zoo! Beyond Boundaries is a local non-profit specializing in guiding participants with disabilities, veterans, at risk youth and recovery programs on outdoor adventures. Monique’s Crêpes will also be there, selling sweet crêpes and savory galettes.

We thank our generous sponsors Call Federal Credit Union and Anthem HealthKeepers Plus

This event is free to everyone. Registration is requested so we can plan accordingly.

Take Note: It's Disability Pride Month
Did you know July is Disability Pride Month? It’s a time to celebrate people with disabilities, their identities and culture, and their contributions to society. Disability Pride Month originated after the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed in July of 1990.

Disability is a part of the rich tapestry of human diversity – and this is something we all need to celebrate, respect and value.
SOAR365’s Summer Camp Is the Best!
Time to celebrate! Summer Camp @Camp Baker was named the 3rd best summer camp in Central Virginia.

This honor comes courtesy of Virginia Living Magazine’s twelfth annual Best of Virginia issue. In January, readers cast almost half a million votes across 104 categories and five regions of Virginia … and we were honored to be awarded a top ranking.

At Camp Baker, kids and adults with disabilities get to enjoy all the traditional fun of summer camp. The 22 wooded acres are a beautiful setting for horseback riding, arts and crafts, sports, fishing, music and drama activities, hiking, paddle boating and even outdoor tent camping. Plus, campers get to participate in Summer Camp’s famous talent show.

Support PARK365
PARK365 is free to visitors, but not to us. It costs a lot to run a free park, and donations help us maintain PARK365. Thank you for supporting this amazing community resource!
Be safe, be respectful and have fun!
