Membership Benefits Links |
Do you have a colleague that could benefit from WSAE?
We all know what a good thing WSAE membership can be. And while the virtual nature of our Spring Forward earlier this month was not what we originally intended for that event, the spirit of camaraderie was palpable, and more than one attendee commented on it! Every member brings something to the (sometimes virtual) table, making our association stronger with every new member. If
you know someone who has never been a WSAE member, this is a great way to encourage them to check us out! Contact Suzanna at membership@wsae.org for more info!

Mnuchin Outlines Priorities in Next COVID-19 Relief Bill
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin this week previewed the Trump administration's priorities in the next COVID-19 relief package, which include bolstering the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and changes to "fix" unemployment insurance. "Whatever we do going forward needs to be much more targeted particularly to the industries and small businesses that are having the most difficulty in reopening as a result of COVID-19," Mnuchin said. "We look forward to working with you and the rest of the committee over the next few weeks as we think about that." ASAE and numerous other organizations have spent months urging Congress to expand access to PPP loans to associations that have thus far been largely left out of relief measures enacted by Congress. ASAE is also advocating for reauthorizing the PPP until at least Dec. 31, 2020.
