Since the terrible earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010, Caring Partners has been supporting missionaries in that country with donated medical supplies. After the earthquake, a CPI church partner in southwest Florida connected the ministry with Agape Flights, a missionary aviation service that flies materials to missionaries in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. Through this connection, CPI has continued to fill donation requests from missionaries and mission clinics and hospitals. This week, CPI staff and several volunteer nurses are helping prepare and pack these supplies, providing critical care during a time of severe economic and social crisis for 27 missionaries and mission posts on the island of Hispaniola and beyond.

May is an exciting month for our ministry in Guatemala. Our National Director, Helmuth Marroquin, completed a course last year to receive certification in Guatemala as a Chiropractic Technician. Helmuth and many of his fellow students have been able to assist CPI's Doctors in our Chiropractic & Physical Therapy station during our CPI healthcare clinics. Dr. Adam Reed, CPI Missionary & Doctor of Chiropractic, is traveling to Guatemala this week to conduct a seminar to provide the students with more knowledge regarding chiropractic theory and methods. He will also have an opportunity to share his Christian testimony - pray for the students to have open hearts & minds as they learn more about chiropractic and hear the Truth of the Gospel! Please also pray for Rick & Jenny Lalli and 17 additional team members as they travel to Guatemala on Wednesday, May 17th to serve with a CPI church partner in the city of Fraijanes. Adam & Rhonda Reed and Helmuth & Olga Marroquin will join the team to serve for the clinic week. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to move in the communities of Fraijanes & El Cerrito as our team desires to provide love & support to the Guatemalan church, and to glorify the Lord in all that we say & do.

Caring Partners is so grateful to all our wonderful friends who supported our ministry through our April 20th Gala. So many volunteered to help us with the silent auction, prepared the banquet hall & assisted with the program, invited guests, donated financial support, and became corporate or individual sponsors. Praise God, during the evening, we were able to hear a ministry update from our National Director in Guatemala, Helmuth Marroquin, watch a video highlighting the work there, and meet our end-of-night giving goal of $25,000, which was matched 100% by three willing donors!
