BCDI-Atlanta honors teachers, at all levels. You inspire the next generation through education and advocacy. Tell teachers this week, and every day, how much you appreciate them.

Celebrating Mothers All Month Long

It's National Mental Health Awareness Month!
BCDI-Atlanta recognizes the importance of mental health and will observe Summer Fridays to help our staff avoid burnout and overwork. During June-August, we will be closed on Fridays.

Featuring our partners at Gwinnett Building Babies' Brains (GBBB), this month's Community Café will focus on brain development and early learning. GBBB will share early learning experiences, activities and resources to support brain development and Kindergarten Readiness over the summer. Join us virtually on May 31 @ 2:00-3:00 PM.

The NBCDI Village Network will host a series of events during National Black Child Development Week (NBCDW) to celebrate pillars of the Black community who champion the NBCDI eight future outcomes. Mark your calendar and stay tuned!
Our next stakeholders meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, July 11 at 6:30-8:00 PM ET. As we have done the last two years, the summer affiliate meeting will feature Family Literacy Night. Bring the kids to enjoy story time and receive FREE children's books, thanks to our Mayor's Summer Reading Club partnership with GEEARS!

Stories From Stakeholders
I truly appreciate each and every one, especially the leaders of this unique program, and the time you spent helping us on many occasions. Thank you very much for the [Family Empowerment Program] course.

I enjoyed every minute of your lecture as well as your marvelous sense of humor. Although i joined this program late, the kind of knowledge I've acquired through this program is something I never imagined.

I've been able to use these new skills to help myself and also improve my kids' lives, i was overwhelmed about everything and always questioned my parenting, but thankfully to the testimonies and ideas shared on this platform, I've been able to apply the ideas in the lives of my boys, especially my 4 year old.

He has finally graduated from pull-ups, which was my biggest challenge. You ladies aren't only Educators making a better place for us but also Family. Love you all and I am very happy to be part of this journey.

Thanks to you all for impacting our lives. GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU ALL!
