The Longhorn Bee

Longhorn bees have emerged! These bees belong to the tribe “Eucerini”, meaning “true horned”. Male longhorns have long antennae, and sometimes sleep together inside flowers! The females have normal antennae and can look similar to honey bees. Female longhorns look chunky and have fluffy back legs, while honey bees have smooth legs. Many longhorn bees rely on native sunflowers, so include them in your future garden plans!
