Starting at a new college can be an intimidating and overwhelming experience. Lee College's First Year Experience (FYE) program welcomes new students with open arms, gives them a sense of belonging and gets them on track to a successful college experience inside and outside the classroom. There are several FYE events to kick off the new semester including Happy Hour Bingo, Peer Mentor Meet & Greets and Happy Hour Loteria. Students can find all FYE events and workshops in myLC Campus. Student employment and career services is holding its annual Student Worker Job Fair from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5. in the Rundell Hall Conference RoomThis is a great opportunity to speak to students and begin the hiring process to fill vacant positions.
Students and part-time employees, if you have not signed up for TimelyCare, we encourage you to do so. TimelyCare offers virtual, on-demand care, 24/7. Those who sign up can also make appointments with a healthcare specialist anytime, including after hours or on the weekends.The service is now being offered to dual credit students who are eligible. HVAC is back! Lee College is now offering degree and certificate courses in air condition, heating and refrigeration at the McNair Center. Chris Avirett, a former Huntsville Center student and successful business owner, has returned to his alma mater to teach the classes in our new state-of-the-art HVAC lab. Students will be trained to enter the workforce as an entry-level service technician, installer and maintenance technician.
The Lee College Foundation has launched it's 2023-24 Employee Giving Campaign to support student success. Help make a difference in a student's life by becoming a NAVIGIVER. This campaign provides our Lee College Family with a unique opportunity to give back to the institution that has enriched our lives and the lives of our students. A donation of any size will support students through scholarships, basic needs and programs.
