Evan & Karen S. went to our website and selected Raggedy Ruth Designs' original "Beyond The Stars". It is a full-sized bed quilt in "like-new" condition.

They were excited, happy, and stunned with this beautiful quilt! As you can see, it fits well with the color and character of their home.

All prototypes were designed, published, pieced, stitched, and bound by "Raggedy" Ruth Grihalva of Forever In Stitches. These quilts are the original creations, or models, for their related patterns. They have been on display only and the pictures used on the patterns and promotional material. They have not been otherwise used or previously sold.

In creating "Beyond The Stars," Ruth envisioned this stunning effect by creating the two stars floating on top of each other. The alternate 9-Patch block's floating affect is achieved by having it on-point and having the same background fabric. This even further highlights the floating visual affect of the stars. This effect was also replicated in the setting triangles.

With the case of the large stars, there are a variety of different corner triangle applications used to achieve the look of these beauties. They are: Flying Geese; Square-in-a-Square; replacing opposite corners in the same fabric and then two different fabrics, and to make Half Square Triangles as well as Quarter Square Triangles.
