2023 SARM Midterm Resolution Deadline


The deadline for submitting resolutions for the upcoming 2023 SARM Midterm Convention is Sunday, September 24, 2023, end of day. Resolutions must be received in the SARM office by this date in order to be addressed at the upcoming convention and included in the convention guide. Please email resolutions to resolutions@sarm.ca

Refer to the Guide for Writing Resolutions and the Resolution Submission Form for details.


*Please remember that each resolution submission must include a brief (no more than 500 word) background that answers the questions provided in the below resolution submission form.*

2024 SARM Pocket Calendar Order

Deadline to order is September 15, 2023


SARM is printing only pocket calendars for 2024.


Order Details:



  • each RM will receive enough for their council members
  • they will be mailed out in November
  • RM will be invoiced by SARM, for shipping costs

 

The only way to order SARM 2024 Calendars is through the following survey. Orders outside of this survey will not be accepted.

  • Outlook: Once the 2024 calendar has been finalized, SARM will distribute a link to download a digital copy that can be imported directly into your Outlook account.

Public Engagement - Proposed Amendments to The Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act


The Ministry of Health is proposing amendments to The Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act.


The purpose of the amendments are to better protect Saskatchewan residents from the harms of smoking and vaping, and reduce the use of tobacco and vapour products amongst our province’s young people.


The ministry is interested in your feedback on the proposed amendments. Your feedback will be used to improve the existing legislation to better protect the health of Saskatchewan residents.

Please share your feedback on the proposed amendments to The Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act.

WSA Announces Half Million Dollar Infrastructure Crossing Replacement Program


The Water Security Agency (WSA) is launching a new $500,000 cost-sharing pilot program that will assist rural municipalities (RMs) and irrigation districts with the cost of replacing aging infrastructure. RMs and irrigation districts replacing infrastructure like bridges or culverts that cross WSA channels are eligible for 50/50 cost sharing.

Crop Report for the Period August 15 to August 21, 2023


Producers continued to make progress harvesting their crops this week. Scattered rain helped with moisture levels as systems moved through the province. Saskatchewan is now 21 per cent completed harvest, ahead of the five-year average of 14 per cent and the 10-year average of 11 per cent.
