Join the San Jose Police Department and the District 4 Team for a night of community bonding, safety awareness, and delightful treats at the National Night Out!
It's an event designed to bring our neighborhoods closer together, and we invite the whole family to join in on the fun. Meet your local officers, get to know your neighbors, and learn valuable safety tips to make our community even stronger. The District 4 Team will be there to answer your questions and address any concerns you may have, fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for everyone.
And let's not forget the best part - ice cream! Indulge in sweet, frosty treats as you mingle and enjoy the company of fellow community members. It's a perfect opportunity to make new friends and create lasting memories with your loved ones.
So mark your calendars - Tuesday, August 1st at 5pm at Commodore Park - for this special evening of fun and connection. Join us at National Night Out and let's celebrate the spirit of togetherness while savoring delicious ice cream! We can't wait to see you there.

Give A Backpack to a Student in Need!
D4 is thrilled to team up with Family Giving Tree, a charitable organization committed to empower, uplift, and unite Bay Area students. Since 1990, Family Giving Tree has delivered over 2 million backpacks filled with school supplies and wished-for holiday gifts to recipients who face financial hardships. For this year’s Family Giving Tree Back-to-School Drive, the goal is set to provide 28,000 supply-filled backpacks for their 28th year of supporting students for Back-to-School. Our group has committed to be a part of the movement to fight educational inequity and equip Bay Area students to rise to new heights. We are committed to putting essential, quality school supplies into the hands of our young and ambitious Bay Area scholars. Join us as our D4 team helps them reach this goal by July 27th. We have set our own goal to reach 100+ backpacks so let’s work together to hit that target.

Who's making a big difference in our community? A great teacher, business owner, a police officer who goes beyond the call of duty. Maybe there's someone spending their free time organizing creek clean-ups or blanket drives for the unhoused... If you've got someone special in your neighborhood, let us know by nominating them to be a District Hero!
