O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Founder's Day Celebration at St. John's Kula
On Saturday, June 24, 2023, with over seventy-five attendees, St. John’s Kula members and friends served up a delicious Chinese feast in honor of their church founders, the Rev. Shim Yin Chin, Mrs. Kui Kyau Shim, and their family. The evening, celebrating St. John’s 123-year history, began with a message from St. John’s Priest-in-Charge, the Reverend George C. Wong. CHURCHBIZ CONFERENCE
It's not too late to register for the Diocese's first ChurchBiz Conference, being held at The Cathedral of St. Andrew on Saturday, July 29! Nearly 20 workshops are being offered dedicated to all things dealing with "church business."

PALAKA STOLE REMINDER - Order your red palaka stoles for the clergy group photo being taken during the Convention Eucharist on Friday, October 20. The Bishop requests that clergy dress with your red palaka stole if you have one. If you do not have one yet, you can order them HERE. Cost is $45, and will be made by the Episcopal Church Women of Hawai'i. Be sure to include include your height.
CONSERVATION GRANT RESOURCES - Is your congregation interested in reducing your energy costs and conserving more? Not sure how to start or worried that you donʻt have enough funds to do very much? Interfaith Power and Light has a put together a resource to help make it simple. You can learn what grants are available and what the new Inflation Reduction Act provides for non-profits to jump start work at tackling energy conservation efforts (https://interfaithpowerandlight.org/federal-funding/). Grants and cash back opportunities for non-profits are included in this federal law.

Tickets Now Available for St. Paul's 64th Anniversary Dinner
Tickets are now on sale for St. Paul's 64th Anniversary Dinner taking place on Sunday, August 27, at the Hawai'i Okinawan Center. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Cn. Franklin “Frank” Chun, former 'Iolani School chaplain and one of three clergy that worked on translating into pidgin “Da Jesus Book” and "Da Good and Spesho Book." The menu will feature Mochiko Chicken, Roast Beef with Fresh Mushrooms and Gravy, Macadamia Nut Crusted Fish with Ginger Butter Sauce, and Shoyu Pork. Tickets are $65 pre-sale, or $75 at the door. Coming Up: Day Camp at Holy Apostles
Camp Mokulē'ia on the North Shore of O'ahu is coming to Hilo! Camp staff will hold a Day Camp at Church of the Holy Apostles, July 24-28, 2023, daily from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. All keiki in grades 1-5 are invited to come and enjoy this fun-filled and aloha-centered experience. The Day Camp is led by highly trained Camp Mokulē'ia staff and will include games, arts & crafts, spiritual formation, and much more! Lunch is provided daily. Vermont Episcopal churches assess flood damage, begin cleanup
[July 13, 2023] As communities across Vermont assess damage from what Gov. Phil Scott has called “historic and catastrophic” storms, Vermont Bishop Shannon MacVean-Brown and her staff report that Brookhaven Home for Boys in Chelsea has lost an entire building, while several congregations have already begun responding to neighbors in need.
