Daughters of The King Prayers & Upcoming Training Class:
DOK prayers for this week are for those households with last names beginning with: CON through CRO.
The Daughters of the King are organizing a training class for new members that is open to all confirmed women of the parish. Our order for women in the Episcopal church was formed over 100 years ago, and accepts three Rules of Life – Prayer, Service and Evangelism. The training period consists of study, prayer and discernment and fellowship, and lasts approximately 3 months. The St. Luke’s on the Lake chapter meets monthly and includes approximately 20 active members of all ages, who are widely engaged in various aspects of the life of the parish, in addition to our work as members of the chapter. If you might be interested in becoming a member of the Order, or are simply curious about who we are and what we do, please contact Carol Harper HERE or Deborah Smith HERE.
