On Wednesday, May 3rd, the McFarland Village Board and School Board got together to jointly pass a resolution acknowledging and celebrating the inherent sovereignty of the Ho-Chunk Nation and the 11 additional Indigenous Nations within what is now referred to as the State of Wisconsin. After their approval, a celebratory flag raising occurred outside of the McFarland Municipal Center.
