Greetings! July is a busy month at the Library with special events and summer reading activities! Be sure to stop by and view the beautiful artwork on display in the Weiler Family Community Room: "Flowers Here and There," original watercolors inspired by nature and masterfully created by local artist Joyce Love. LOL Comedy Night! On Saturday, August 5th, the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library will host our 2023 LOL Comedy Night at Buck Hill Falls’ Tennis Tea. This Library fundraiser includes dinner, a live auction, a silent auction, and a hilarious evening of entertainment with comedians from New York City (arranged by Carla Johnston). Dinner & Show: $100/person. Show Only: $60/person. We'll start taking reservations on Wed, July 5. The Library is pleased to host Pocono Page Turners, The Pocono Mountains Music Festival’s Book Club Event, on Wed., July 26, at 5pm, in the Weiler Family Community Room. Featuring local author Susan Moore Jordan’s novel The Case of the ‘Carousel’ Killer, the program includes discussion with the author, performances by local vocalists, and selections from the book performed by local actors! The Pocono-based mystery is set at The Pocono Playhouse in 1966, with scenes at Buck Hill and other familiar locations.
