Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival

Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2 | Downtown Orangeville

Our community’s headline event kicks off festival season. The award-winning Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival will feature live performances on streets, stages, and venues, accompanied by events and activities that will keep you strolling and strumming all weekend long.

 

Celebrate Your Awesome

Saturday, June 15 | Alexandra Park and Second Street

Celebrate Your Awesome is a colourful display of pride and diversity. This family-friendly event offers a safe and welcoming atmosphere that invites participants to recognize and appreciate their differences. Food trucks, vendors, buskers, live music, and two drag shows are just some of the fun activities.


Orangeville Rotary Ribfest

Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21 | Alder Recreation Centre

Sink your teeth into summer at the 15th annual Orangeville Rotary Ribfest. Savour delicious fare served up by six featured ribbers and a variety of food truck vendors. While you feast, enjoy live entertainment all weekend long. Don’t miss the Classic Car Show on Saturday afternoon and KidsFest on Sunday.


Dufferin Film Festival

Friday, August 9 to Saturday, August 10 | Opera House

The new Dufferin Film Festival is a celebration of Canadian independent cinema. Hosted at Orangeville's historic Opera House, the festival features all genres of Canadian-made short films and showcases Canadian Indie Filmmakers.


Elysian Festival

Saturday, August 18 | Rotary Park

The Elysian Festival promises to expand your mind and ignite your soul with a network of teachers and leaders, and presentations and workshops for all levels. The vendor market will offer a large selection of crystals, smudging, bath products, teas, books, oracle cards, tarot reading, reiki and much more.

 

In Good Spirits and Taste of Orangeville

Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17 | Downtown Orangeville

Taste of Orangeville is the culinary event of the summer! The festivities begin on Friday evening with 'In Good Spirits,' a showcase of the finest beverages, produced right here in our region. On Saturday, local restaurants come together to create tempting samples and bite-sized servings.

Meet Shayne MacDonald

Owner | The Altered Nation 

Shayne MacDonald established The Altered Nation in 1997 as a premier counter-culture boutique, tattoo parlour and piercing studio. With alternative culture at its core, this shop pushes boundaries with rebellious style and unconventional fashion.

 

When asked why he loves Orangeville, Shayne said, "Orangeville is a musical and artistic community. Come out for some wicked entertainment at Blues and Jazz and you'll see what I mean."
