Vitamin C - new respect for an old friend!

Sometimes we can take an old friend for granted. Someone new and trendy comes along, and we make note of his or her exceptional qualities while perhaps allowing those of our trusted and true companions to fade into the recesses of our minds.

I think I could say that is true for me and my old friend Vitamin C. While newer (at least to me) and perhaps flashier nutritional tools have entered my circle of nutritional friends - such as glutathione and more recently methylene blue and indium - I haven't paid any attention to Vitamin C for years.

Personally, I haven't taken more than the 250 mg in my daily multivitamin for many years, and I haven't put vitamin C in higher doses into any of my clients' recommendations.

Oh, my, how much I have been missing!

Join my on ZOOM today at NOON (EST), and I'll share some of the reasons behind my renewed romance with Wondrous Vitamin C!

Vitamin C: 6 Different Forms, Their Benefits, + How to Use Them

I have started using 2000 mg three times daily of this liquid product for a total of 6,000 mg daily. This one is sodium ascorbate (sourced in Europe), so if you are going to go higher dose and have an issue with sodium, not the best choice for you. Also, expensive at that rate of use. I like the formulation, however, and sodium ascorbate higher dose is less irritating than ascorbic acid. We also carry a capsule product of Vitamin C from Solaray. After research this week, however, I am very enthusiastic about this product in pill form from Core Med. I reached out to them regarding a practitioner account for stocking their products, and we will be setting that up next week.

If you are going to increase your daily vitamin C intake in supplement form, do so gradually to avoid diarrhea. I went slowly and had no problems like that.

I also plan to formulate a VITAMIN C TEA, with hibiscus, rosehips, blackberry leaves, hawthorn, cherry, orange peel, moringa... HOW WONDROUSLY FUN!!!!
