Free Design Education for Oregon Students: Apply Now for Architects in Schools

August 22, 2023

Calling all Teachers and Design/Building Professionals! Help us provide free design education to Oregon students by participating in the Architects in Schools (AiS) program.

Students who participate in AiS walk away as lifelong learners and critical thinkers who have a greater understanding of their environment and its impact on people’s lives.

Sign up as a teacher or design/building professional volunteer to help us reach more students with design education. Together we can make sure students of all learning styles have the opportunity to thrive!

Elementary School Teachers

Why should you participate? AiS is designed for students of all learning styles and increases participation in the classroom. AiS provides teachers with lessons and resources to engage students in a non-traditional and creative way, while addressing education standards. The program is available in several different formats whether you are in-person or virtual.

Design/Building Professionals

Why should you volunteer? Volunteers such as architects, engineers, contractors, architecture and engineering students and more, help contribute to students' growth mindset, expose students to design thinking - a tool that helps youth notice their surroundings and respond creatively to their own communities needs, and engage youth who struggle academically.
