Hello Eversource,

This is an update on activities related to the Eversource 115-kilovolt (kV) Underground Transmission Project in Sudbury and Hudson. Across the inactive MBTA rail corridor, crews are accessing manhole locations to prepare the underground duct bank system for cable installation by proofing the underground conduit.

Work Hours

• Sudbury - Approved work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. During the cable installation process, crews are working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. All other activities in the corridor will happen from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• Hudson - Approved work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Crews are working in the Hudson roads from 7a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. During cable installation, crews are active from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday in the MBTA corridor.  

Occasional activities may extend beyond the approved hours, due to unforeseen circumstances, based on approval from local officials. Crews work between manholes (MHs) placed along the project route. For a closer look, view the project map.

Hudson Activities

• On Forest Avenue, crews are relocating an underground distribution duct bank outside of Hudson Light & Power on Forest Avenue to make room for the new underground transmission duct bank. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained whenever possible. 
• At the intersection of Wilkins Street and the inactive MBTA corridor, crews are excavating and installing duct bank to tie into sections already installed. 
• From Chestnut Street to Bridge 130, crews will be installing gravel. 
• Starting soon, between Chestnut Street and White Pond Road, crews will begin installing the new transmission line underground between MH’s 7-13.  
• Expect to see crews sporadically working on erosion controls in the ROW throughout Hudson. 

Sudbury Activities

• At Bridge 127, crews are installing wall caps.  
• Between Dutton Road and Boston Post Road, crews are installing the new transmission line underground from MH 17-24.  
• Expect to see crews sporadically working on erosion controls in the ROW throughout Sudbury.
