SaskCulture is seeking talented, dynamic, conscientious and energetic individuals interested in volunteering to assist in the cultural development of Saskatchewan.

| Creative Kids online applications are open |
Families can apply by May 26, 2023 to Creative Kids for activities that begin in late Spring, Summer and Fall.
Creative Kids helps Saskatchewan children facing financial barriers participate in art, music, dance, theatre, and a variety of cultural activities. For more information on how to apply, to apply online, go to the Creative Kids website.

Culture Days Hub Sponsorship still receiving applications | |
SaskCulture’s Culture Days Hub Sponsorship is still open. A Culture Days hub is two or more community cultural partners working together to offer engaging arts and culture activities that are free, interactive, and participatory to the public during Culture Days, taking place September 22 – October 15, 2023.
Applications will be accepted up until July 1, and assessed for funding on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities and programming that advance Truth and Reconciliation as part of September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, will be prioritized.

Creative Sask. announces grant program dates | On April 26, Creative Saskatchewan announced its 2023-24 grant programs, which support Market and Export Development, Market Travel, Tour Support, Business Capacity, Research, Book Publishing, Craft and Visual Arts Production, and more. | $900K in funding announced for new media training, mentorship program | A new program that has received $900,000 in federal funding will place an emphasis on fostering Indigenous engagement in the media production industry. The Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association (SMPIA) program, which started on April 1, 2023, will support 50 participants with pre-employment training workshops and paid, on-set mentored positions in media production. SMPIA will ensure a minimum of 30 per cent Indigenous participation. | | |
