Hello Long Beach State,

As we start a brand-new academic year, it is my absolute pleasure to introduce myself as your ASI President. I am Mitali Jain, and I am thrilled to be leading our incredible community through what promises to be a year filled with growth, learning and unforgettable experiences.

Whether you're returning to our campus or joining us for the first time, I want to extend a warm welcome. Our campus is more than just a place of learning—it's a diverse and vibrant community that thrives on the passion and talents of each of its members. Together, we will create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered to achieve their goals.

With that said, here are some events and resources to help kick off your year:

• Week of Welcome: As you settle into your routine, we're here to help you feel at home. Join us for the Week of Welcome, where you'll discover all the incredible opportunities our campus has to offer. From student orgs to campus resources, this week is all about diving into our community. Check out asicsulb.org/wow for more.
• Farmers Market and the Beach Pantry: Are you looking for more food options and variety on campus? Then you definitely need to check out the Farmers Market and the Beach Pantry. The Farmers Market will take place every Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Friendship Walk. It is the perfect place to enjoy fresh food, fruits and veggies, and more. • Rec Fest: Calling all fitness enthusiasts and those looking to stay active! Rec Fest is the perfect opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art recreational facilities, join sports clubs, and find your favorite way to stay healthy and engaged. • Smorgasport: Join us for a free on-campus carnival experience! This annual event is open to all current LBSU students and will feature rides, games, food and more. Check out asicsulb.org/smorgasport for more information.
