Please pray for the people of Haiti and the safety of our Christian brothers and sisters there. Please also pray that the lost in Haiti will be brought to a knowledge of the truth and that because of the hope of Christ, Haiti will begin to see brighter days ahead.

Rev. Joe Adams (Christ the King, Largo, FL) had successful brain surgery to remove a tumor. Please pray for continued healing in his recovery.

Please pray for the men and women who are deployed. Pray for their safety, their health, and their spiritual care. Pray also for their families who live their lives without their loved ones with them.

Roy Heflin (Emeritus DCE) received news of no prostate cancer from a recent scan. We rejoice with Roy that he can now be presented to the medical board to be on the kidney list! Have you considered becoming an organ transplant donor?

Pray with Us

Prayer is essential for mission action and results! You are invited to partner in prayer with the Florida-Georgia District, joining others who pray daily for God’s Mission. Set your alarm on your phone, watch, or any device for 10:02—morning or night—to ask the Lord for harvest workers. Check out Luke 10:2!

Many resources are available for your daily prayer life on the FLGA District website: prayer guides, submit prayer requests, sign up for the quarterly prayer resource email, and much more.

Fine Arts Scholarship Program

St. Michael Lutheran Church & School, Ft. Myers, FL, is concluding the first academic year of a new fine arts initiative uniting church and school. One of the goals of the new Share the Music scholarship program is to share God's joyous gift of music from generation to generation. The program focuses awareness on our fine arts program while regularly integrating it into the congregation. It strengthens the school's fine arts program, gives confidence to the students themselves, and enriches our worship services.

Students in the program commit to weekly lessons with a professional instructor in the community, which generous members of the St. Michael congregation pay for through scholarship donations. The six students pictured above have risen to the challenge and become leaders within their respective ensembles on campus.
