AHA! held its third annual Digital Cleanse Retreat from June 12-16 at El Capitan Canyon. 26 teens and 14 AHA! facilitators took a glorious hiatus from the digital world and bonded deeply through council circles, theater improvisation, games, writing, kayaking with sea otters in Morro Bay, hiking, mindfulness, art, and helping with cooking and cleaning. Teens built deep, lasting connections, culminating in meaningful conversations about how to support themselves in wiser, more balanced use of technology after the Cleanse ended.
