Dear Prince Families:

I’m excited to inform you we have hired Mr. Daniel Kempf as our new middle school principal for the 2023-2024 school year.

Mr. Kempf brings over thirteen years of education experience, including positions as a classroom teacher, dean of students, and principal. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Bible from Tennessee Temple University and a master’s degree in teaching from Liberty University. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Kempf holds a lifetime administrator certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). He is an experienced Christian educator who will bring additional skills and talents to our leadership team.

Mr. Kempf will be on campus intermittently these closing weeks of school to meet the middle school students and faculty, shadow the current middle school principal Mr. Daniel Head, and spend time getting familiar with our school and its culture. Mr. Kempf is married to Anna, and they have two young children, Harris (4) and Judah (7).

Mr. Daniel Head will finish this school year as our middle school principal before assuming the duties of athletic director for Concord Christian School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Head has been a valued member of our school’s administrative team for the past eight years serving as both the middle and high school principal; he is leaving big shoes, and I am confident Mr. Kempf is the right person to fill them.

In His service,

Col Seth Hathaway, Ed.D.
Head of School

Dear Prince Families,

I am excited and honored to be joining the administrative team at Prince Avenue Christian School, and I look forward to meeting teachers, students, and families over the next few months.

The Lord has allowed me to be involved in Christian education in many settings, and I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses those experiences to serve in the middle school at PACS.

My goal as the middle school principal is to build on the strong foundation that has been previously established and provide an environment for both teachers and students to pursue excellence in everything they do. To that end, it has been my practice as a principal to be present in each teacher's classroom once a month to observe both teachers and students and that will continue here. Observations allow me to encourage teachers, provide new ideas for best practices, and be a collaborative participant in your student's learning experience.

Building relationships is also a priority for me as an educator. As an administrator who does not see every student in a daily classroom setting, connecting with students requires intentionality. I am purposeful and passionate about getting to know all of my students and partnering with parents in mentoring them toward a deeper walk with Jesus.

I am excited to learn and grow with such an amazing middle school team of teachers as we lead the fantastic students of Prince’s middle school!

In His service,

Daniel Kempf, M.Ed.
