Off to a Great Start at ARPS! | |
Please see the "Important Dates" for a correction regarding this afternoon's Hip Hop Class Free Intro! This class is open to students in grades K-5!
Welcome back to school, Owl families! After a summer of prep and planning, it feels great to see our classrooms, hallways, and new playgrounds full of smiling faces once again. Our students are getting the hang of new routines, learning classroom expectations, and most importantly making strong, supportive connections with their teachers and peers. We're just a few days in and we can already tell that it's going to be the best year yet!

Dress Down Passes are Available Now! | | |

Are your kiddos missing the freedom of their summer wardrobe? Good news! Dress Down Passes are now on sale and available at the Front Office!
For $20, you can purchase a pass that allows your child to dress down on 10 pre-set days and five free choice days throughout the year!
To purchase this pass, please either bring $20 in cash or check to the Front Office, or pay online via Revtrak.
Please check out the Parent/Student Handbook in the Parent Portal for dress-down day guidelines.

Sign Up for the 7th/8th Grade Trip to D.C.! | |

If your 7th or 8th grader has interest in attending the D.C. trip, this is the year to do it! Our plan is to alternate years, with a Washington D.C. trip this year followed by an international trip next year. So sign up today if you'd like your 7th or 8th grader to make memories with their classmates in our nation's capital!
Please plan to join the Parent Info Meeting virtually this Wednesday, 8/23, at 4:30pm!

One way to feel connected and involved at Aspen Ridge is to volunteer! Here are three upcoming opportunities to get involved at ARPS:

PTO Teacher Appreciation Meeting | August 30th, 8:30am: Help us plan all kinds of fun ways to show our teachers extra love throughout the school year. All are welcome to attend! If you would like to be involved but can't attend this meeting, please email pto@arprep.org to learn more.

Spring Gala Planning Meeting | September 11th, 8:30am: Join us for our very first planning meeting for the 2024 Spring Gala. Help us plan the school's biggest fundraiser - and party - of the year! We'll start by choosing the theme, and we'd love to hear your ideas! All are welcome. If you'd like to be involved but can't attend this meeting, please email ctodd@arprep.org.

Volunteer Library Assistant: Our new librarian, Ms. Culver, would love a few assistants to help with shelving, sorting, and getting the library ready for our Owls to explore. (This does not involve helping students in the library, which is a separate volunteer opportunity.) This is an adult volunteer opportunity and will take place during school hours. Become a substitute teacher at Aspen Ridge! We need subs more than ever this year, and the process to obtain your Colorado Substitute Teacher License is simple. This year's pay rate will be $17.50 per hour for regular subs, and $22.50 per hour for long-term subs. Interested in learning more? Please send your resume and questions to Ms. Miller!

What's for Lunch?
The lunch menu for each month is posted in the Parent Portal under "Helpful Parent Links" as soon as it is released from the district. Please note that lunch is free for all students this year. Each morning, students must let their teacher know if they would like to order school lunch for that day. We will then send in our daily lunch order to the district, with no charge to the students.
