Mame-Fatou Niang, associate professor of French and Francophone Studies and director-founder of the Center for Black European Studies and the Atlantic, has received the William H. and Frances S. Ryan Award for Meritorious Teaching at CMU’s Celebration of Education.

Join the “The Four Shakespeare Folios, 1623–2023: Copy, Print, Paper, Type” Book Launch on May 30, 2024, 4:30–7:00 p.m. in the Posner Center. This in-person event continues the year-long celebration of the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s first folio and coincides with the publication of “The Four Shakespeare Folios, 1623–2023: Copy, Print, Paper, Type,” edited by Sam Lemley, curator of Special Collections. During the event, a panel of several of the book's contributors will offer an in-depth look at Shakespeare’s work and contributions to society at large. A moderated Q&A will follow the presentations with a light reception afterward.
