First Branch News!

Welcome back from Spring Break! We are excited to see all our students and faculty tomorrow. We launched our Hulbert K-8 experience part one on April 21st by hosting our K-2nd grade Outdoor Center Experience at Tunbridge Central School. Students worked together in multi-age groups to celebrate and continue to work on our ROAD (Read, Open-Minded, Allied, and Determined) values. We look forward to our 3rd-8th grade experiences still to come.

Hulbert Outdoor Center Update 3rd-4th:

A blackboard notification went out on today about the paperwork due back for students. Hardcopies will go home with all 3rd-4th graders tomorrow. We need these forms back by Wednesday. Please and thank you!

Hulbert Outdoor Center Update 5-8th:

Our middle school students (grades 5-8) are earning their spot on an overnight Hulbert experience on May 25th and 26th.  We are currently looking for additional adult chaperones to join us on this experience.  In order to chaperone you will need a completed volunteer form and picture of your driver's license on file in our office.  Please reach out to Wendy McCullough at 802-685-4551 ([email protected]) and Kate Liptak ([email protected]) to indicate your interest, receive paperwork or double check that we have completed paperwork.

Springs Sports Celebration:

We will be hosting a potluck event on the evening of June 15th at 5:30 pm.  At this event we will be celebrating our middle school baseball and softball players as well as recognizing students that played a First Branch sport for all three seasons.

Graduation:

First Branch will host its 8th Grade Graduation at 6:30 pm on Monday, June 19th.  This event will take place on the North Common in Chelsea.

Sports:

First Branch baseball and softball teams are practicing hard! We invite you to come out to a game and support our athletes! Please note that these documents are “live” documents and as things get adjusted due to conflicts or weather, they will be noted on these schedules.

Chelsea Public School Dismissal:

We kindly ask students to move along to post school destinations as soon as possible. We have had some students lingering after school and it’s important for families to know supervision after school is tied to school events only.

Chelsea Public School Library:

Despite being down a librarian we have been able to get our check in and check out system up and running thanks to Ms. Tracy and Ms. Wendy. Overdue notices have gone out. We kindly ask for books to be returned for others to read. Please reach out to our main office with any questions.
