Artsonia asked Leanne French-Amara, "What inspires you to teach your subject?"
"I believe creating & appreciating art are skills that help children stimulate their imaginations & develop strong problem-solving skills as well as support their social & emotional awareness. I am from Caen in Normandy. I live more precisely in a small country village. My family still lives there and I left for my studies. This year I was in La Rochelle. I only come home during the holidays. In my family, there is my sister, my two parents and many animals (two cats, a rabbit, fish and even a donkey). In life, I like to play sports, watch movies and read. I also like to travel, it's one of the reasons for my presence, I like to share with people with cultures different from mine. | |
|
Favorite Foods: love all type of pasta. Some Asian and Italian food.
In The US: I would like to discover your way of life. I would also like to visit big cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco.... I would also like to attend major sporting events.
In minneapolis, I want to discover the city, these cultural and sporting events. I would also like to spend time with locals to learn the language and the way of life.

Edina Give and Go provides scholarships all year round to students at Normandale and the other EPS buildings so they can afford to participate in enrichment activities with their peers. Interested in getting involved or joining our board? Please email Caroline Pappajohn at Caroline@Edinagiveandgo.org.
Please consider making a donation to help one more student today. Thank you!

The Edina Education Fund is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to the continued academic excellence of the Edina Public Schools.
The Ed Fund secures private, supplemental funding to support valuable education experiences and innovative projects in the Edina Public Schools. Funds raised augment school system revenues that are provided by taxes, state aid, and other parent and student led fundraising efforts. The Ed Fund is necessary to help ensure the caliber of educational programs we have come to expect of the Edina Public Schools. Your support means greater academic opportunities for all students, today and into the future.
We are fortunate to be part of the Edina community that has a strong, valued and well-respected school system. However, to protect and enhance the value of our homes and property and the quality of life we enjoy, we must further invest in our public school system. Edina Education Fund contributes to the development and financial support of district-wide programs within Literacy, STEAM and Mental Health/Wellness Services for all students and staff.
