Meet Amy, our new TMSA Team Member!

Amy Smith

Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator

Downtown Tahlequah is a charming & unique place... not only is it noticeably full of native culture & historical nostalgia but it is also saturated with the arts. I believe our Downtown has much to offer its community members along with its many merchants. As the newest member of the Tahlequah Main Street Association, Amy is committed to the revitalization & economic vitality of our great Downtown area. Amy is a local business owner herself, Amy's Eats & Treats, mobile food service. She graduated from OSUIT with her associate degree in culinary arts in 2016. Amy is a mother to 4 lovely young men & an avid lover of the arts, nature, food, music, etc...

Fun Fact: Amy likes to set up her food truck Amy's Eats and Treats at music festivals for her "own entertainment purposes".

2022 Reinvestment Report

CONGRATULATIONS NOMINEES!

The Oklahoma Main Street Center announced in March the finalists of the program’s annual statewide awards competition. Of the 23 award categories, Tahlequah Main Street Association has received top 3 nominations in eight categories.

“Tahlequah has clearly demonstrated it is one of the top Main Street programs in the state. As the President of TMSA Board of Directors, I can say without question that this organization, our team of passionate community members, work very hard to bring new investment and economic opportunities to the heart of Tahlequah - our downtown” said Austin Patton, TMSA President.

Events, projects and businesses that were chosen by the state as finalists were, TMSA’s PocketSights walking tours for Best Main Street Community Education Campaign, OksWagon Festival for Premier Special Event Under 1,000 Attendees, Red Fern Festival for Premier Special Event Over 1,000 Attendees, Ladies Night Out for Best Main Street Retail Event, the Community Rebrand Project for Outstanding Image Promotion, The Foundry on Shawnee for Best Adaptive Reuse Project Over $25,000

category, The Craft Addict for Outstanding Entrepreneurial Endeavor and Rafa’s Burrito Company for Best New Business.

TMSA Director Jamie Hale said that not only is Tahlequah knocking it out of the park on the nominations, but TMSA is also in the running for Main Street Community of the Year and is looking forward to celebrating our accomplishments as an organization and those of our downtown businesses and stakeholders.

“As the heart of the Tahlequah Community, Downtown Tahlequah continues to make strides in all areas of the Main Street 4-Point approach (Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality),” said Hale. “It is an honor to highlight these individuals, programs, and projects that make Downtown Tahlequah a place that our community is proud of.”
