Update from Lee:

We have lots going on at Tres / Trams and
we want to keep you, our customers updated.

Trams update: Trams employees, plus a few new employee additions, continue to work on the Trams products, services and support and will continue to do so for a long time to come. Being a separate company has already shown a lot of benefits as each division of Trams now works together rather than separately within a large company. We continue to work on moving systems from Sabre to Tres (billing being a big one.) Lots of progress in all areas.

Tres update: Tres has a separate development team of 19 employees dedicated to development of our new technology platform we call Tres. We are very excited about the hosted technology and the new approach. We have started product introductions and demonstrations. I personally have never been so excited about a product we are preparing to release and cannot wait to show it to you, get to market, and get users benefiting from the new approach and technology.

What Tres is: I have had several people ask what Tres is and heard some confusion in the marketplace. “It’s CRM only, it’s not CRM,…” A challenge is comparing to Trams products. Trams went down a path (Back office, then General Ledger, then a separate but related CRM agency product ClientBase.) When we started Tres rather than follow that path again; we started over – free of being tied into any historical path and able to do what is best for today’s usage. Tres is one system that does both CRM and Back Office – thus enhancing and updating both ClientBase and Trams Back Office.

When will Tres will be here? We intend to release the product fully this summer. Interim releases will start happening this month.

When will Tres realistically be available for me? Two keys:
1.      Functionality: Tres implementation specialists will work with you to ensure the functionality you need is released. For example, if you use GDS interface we will want to make sure the interface with your GDS has been released.
2.      Integrations: Trams/ ClientBase and Tres integrate with many applications such as consortia marketing programs, credit card processors, reporting packages, client itinerary apps, etc. Some of these integrations require both parties to align for those integrations to work. Hence, we need to make sure those integrations used by an agency are in place before conversion.

We anticipate that Tres will be available for most users by the end of summer. Many early adaptors will start the conversion prior to summer. For more information visit our website

Will I be forced to move from Trams products? We hope to entice users to migrate from the Trams products to Tres for the all the system and technology benefits. We are also confident that will happen. (And those early viewers have been confirming that.) Conversion will also be easy as all historical data will be copied from Trams products to Tres. For many it will be a year or more until they choose to migrate. All that being written, anyone that really wants to stay on Trams Back Office or ClientBase Plus will always have that option.

Tres pricing: As Tres pricing is not broken down between Back Office and CRM, the pricing will be slightly different. We are working to ensure your pricing will be aligned with your current Trams pricing.

We appreciate your business. We are investing and working hard. We are excited to earn that business as we move forward.

Thanks,
Lee
