CO-LOCATION OF SERVICES TO REMOVE BARRIERS AND ADDRESS A GROWING MEDICAL NEED
Kenosha Community Health Center has partnered with Kenosha County Public Health to establish a presence at KCHC's Silver Lake Clinic, to provide specified services as of Thursday, April 6, 2023. The Kenosha County Public Health Clinic-West offers targeted services focusing on reproductive health and family planning to complement the medical, dental, and behavioral health services already offered by the KCHC at the Silver Lake Clinic located at 903 S. 2nd Street in Silver Lake.
“There has been a great request for services to the citizens of the county based on the growing need in many areas,” shares Chief Executive Officer Mary Ouimet. “Partnering to co-locate services makes it easier for community members to identify and access care resources but also improves our ability to make referrals between agencies."

APRIL IS ORAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH |
Dentists are often the first health professionals to notice the signs of oral cancer, which can appear inside the mouth and throat or on the tonsils and tongue. Dentists watch for signs of oral cancer, because finding it early can be the key to successful treatment. More than 54,000 people are diagnosed each year in the U.S., and around 11,000 die from it.
Oral cancers are serious illnesses that can be fatal if not caught early. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of the risk factors for these cancers so that you can take steps to reduce your risk. Keep reading to learn more about the risks of oral cancer.
