MIT Hosts Junior Tournament
We had a blast hosting our USTA junior tournament on July 8 and July 9! Many talented young tennis players from our club and from elsewhere in Vermont joined the fun. The tournament included four singles brackets: U14 and U18 boys and girls. Between the four brackets, a total of 16 Vermont junior players participated. Congratulations to our tournament winners and all who played! Special thanks to Bree Cotroneo for coordinating such a successful event!

Staff Updates!
We are delighted to welcome a great group of high school/college students who are helping with MIT's summer camps. Lewis Suchomel and Brian Newton have been joined by Abby Bailey, Sophia Boise, Abby Morsman, Jackson Murray, and Dinara Myers. We are also thrilled to welcome back Bree Cotroneo, recently graduated from St. Michael's College. Bree will be helping on and off the court this summer and beyond.
Youth Summer Tennis
Our club has been offering a diversity of options for our young players this summer. In addition to running outdoor camps in collaboration with Middlebury Parks and Recreation, we are running indoor afternoon programs for all ages. See our website for more details. In addition, the club has been organizing opportunities for kids to get match experience by playing teams from area clubs. Stay tuned for our upcoming fall schedule that will be coming out in mid-August!

Solar at Work
Thanks to MIT member Caleb Kenna for some wonderful aerial shots of MIT's solar panels. The addition of these panels has been a huge cost savings to the club's electric bill. Check out more of Caleb's incredible work here.
Tennis Pro's Corner
This Mason Jar Buddha Salad is the perfect choice for a picnic outing, packed lunch, or dinner option that won't heat up your kitchen. Plus, it's vegan (and those who don't care about that probably won't even notice!). Thank you to the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op for sharing this tasty recipe!
