2023 Bennett Days Schedule and Map

Jason Boland & the Stragglers Headlining Bennett Days Free Concert

Jason Boland & The Stragglers will be performing at Bennett Days. This is a free concert and it will follow the bull riding championship finals and fireworks show.

For the past 20 years, Jason Boland & The Stragglers have dazzled audiences all over as one of the leading ambassadors of the Oklahoma and Texas music movement. Millions of fans cheering him on, over 500,000 records sold independently and 10 albums later, Boland is a career musician whose legacy continues to grow. From his early days touring in cramped vans and playing in front of tiny bar crowds to the packed venues he performs in today, Boland's uncompromising approach has grown his profile dramatically, especially in the past handful of years. Add to that the legions of musicians who are influenced by Boland, and his impact on the scene is undeniable.

This concert is generously sponsored by the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees.

Bennett Public Art Community Survey

The Town of Bennett and the Bennett Arts Council are pleased to announce a new public art project. The project is being funded through grants, the Town of Bennett, and the Bennett Arts Council.

The goal of this piece is to capture and represent the spirit of Bennett, and to be a permanent display of the life, movement, and beauty of rural Colorado. This large-scale, kinetic sculpture will celebrate a major feature of life on the plains: WIND!

After a competitive selection process, James Peterson was chosen to create and design a kinetic sculpture for installation at Town Hall.

Your feedback will help the artist finalize the development of this sculpture. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas!

ADA Public Outreach Survey

The Town of Bennett is working on developing a published ADA Transition Plan. The purpose of the plan is to provide formal guidelines and goals to improve accessibility throughout the Town and serve as a means of formal documentation of the procedure, as well as the progress already taken place in accordance with Title II of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The first step in the process for creating and implementing a Transition Plan is to conduct a Self Evaluation by inventorying and assessing existing pedestrian facilities to identify access barriers to persons with disabilities within the public right-of-way. The pedestrian facilities that will be inventoried are the pedestrian facilities along roadways, primarily sidewalks and curb ramps, to document what facilities are present and in compliance with applicable standards or are needing to be constructed or improved for compliance.

The Self Evaluation findings will provide the framework for developing the Town’s ADA Transition Plan. As the Town develops its ADA Transition Plan, it will provide opportunities to interested parties, including individuals with disabilities or organizations representing individuals with disabilities, to participate in the development of the Transition Plan.

Please take a moment to fill out this Public Outreach Survey regarding accessibility in the Town of Bennett.

First Case Of Rabies Identified In Arapahoe County

A bat that was found south of Downtown Littleton has tested positive for rabies. While this is the first case of rabies in an animal in Arapahoe County this year, 39 total rabies cases have been confirmed in area bats and skunks across the rest of the Denver Metro Area and statewide.

Arapahoe County Public Health encourages anyone who comes into direct contact with a bat — or whose pet has direct contact —to immediately reach out to their health care provider and Arapahoe County Public Health (303-795-4584) to evaluate risk and any need for treatment.

Arapahoe County's website or this flyer explain best practices for prevention, as well as more information about rabies in our community.
