As the Primary Nominator, you will need to collect the following materials to submit for the candidate you are nominating:

An essay by the primary nominator of the candidate

Give specific examples of why you believe the candidate deserves this award.

The candidate's vitae or complete background information

Include professional and/or volunteer memberships, and leadership roles

(especially those related to gifted students/gifted education.)

Three to five recommendation letters*

Individuals familiar with the candidate's professional/volunteer work should include specific examples of the candidate's positive impact on gifted children in their letters.

Up to five other supporting documents that may help the judges

in their decision

Examples could include news releases, lists of publications, links to original work, etc.

Recommendation letters can be from:

School administrators, educators, parents of gifted students, current or former students, colleagues, civic or community leaders, and/or others familiar with the candidate's impact on gifted children.

Before You Begin Collecting the Nomination Materials:

• We highly recommend previewing the Nomination Submission Page before collecting and organizing materials for uploading.

• Please note that all of the required items will be uploaded though a Google form that requires the use of a Google-based gmail account.

• To expedite the evaluation procedure, each individual item will be uploaded separately into specific areas of the nomination form (instead of in one packet).
