Daniela Perez paid off her Habitat home!
|
Congratulations to Daniela Perez, our 50th homeowner, for paying off her Habitat home last month! As many of you remember, the Perez family built their home alongside numerous volunteers in Denton in 2003. The home was built as part of Habitat's Homeownership program and was dedicated to them in December of that year, meaning this hardworking family paid off their mortgage in just 20 years!
We are continually amazed by and honored to work with families like this one. This family has accomplished something truly incredible, thanks to YOUR support!

We are raising funds to develop 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton and establish a new "Habitat Village" housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes will be built alongside local families in need via this development. This project involves developing the infrastructure of this neighborhood, including the streets, sidewalks, utilities, proper drainage requirements, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.
