Carpooling Beyond the 9-5
Angie and Jana have been volunteering for years at Target Center and Target Field concession stands, and having a lot of fun. They grill burgers, make popcorn, and serve beers to earn money, not for themselves, but for a variety of causes.
They earn a break by carpooling together from their homes in Spring Lake Park and NE Minneapolis and parking at Ramp B. Angie picks Jana up on the way to sporting events and concerts at Target Center and Target Field – Ramp B is ideally located right in the middle of the two.
Jana adds, “The best thing about carpooling is that there is always a reserved carpooling parking spot next to the skyway doors so we can get in and out of the ramp without getting stuck with fan parking and traffic”.
Carpool parking is by far the best value even if you're only coming downtown a few days a week. Carpoolers ride in the EZ-Pass lanes for free and have preferred parking at the ABC Ramps. And, according to Angie and Jana, it is a lot more fun than driving alone. Contact ABC Ramps Mobility Hub for information on the $20 monthly carpool parking rate.
