Upcoming LTSSMaryland System Training

DDA is excited to announce the upcoming training session for the LTSSMaryland System. This session is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the system effectively.

LTSSMaryland is a software program supporting case management and service delivery for Maryland Medicaid Home and Community-Based Service programs. The goal of LTSSMaryland is to integrate service coordination conducted across multiple programs into a central system. This benefits all parties by providing a single-entry point for service coordination activities such as applications, assessments, and billing.

Because of the range of services offered through LTSSMaryland, the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) provides FREE training for billing and case management staff of providers who will be using it.

The training session will cover essential topics such as:

  • Navigating the Provider Portal
  • Exploring the Billing Process
  • Reviewing Search and View Services and Claims
  • Examining how Adjustments are made
  • Resolving Exceptions (issues) that prevent payments
  • Accessing Reports on services rendered and claims payments
  • How to use the system to input and update participant information

All staff attending the training session must come prepared to learn in a hands-on and interactive classroom experience.

DDA understands that the LTSSMaryland System is complex, which is why we have arranged this training session to ensure that all users have the necessary skills and knowledge to use the system effectively. To provide the best experience for yourself and your classmates, please come prepared with the following:

  • Verifying your access in LTSSMaryland before training.
  • A laptop or desktop computer, preferably the setup you will be working on regularly (mobile devices, such as smartphones will not suffice).
  • Access to a webcam is required. Please note that we require cameras to be ON to facilitate a collaborative and fun environment. Please do not log on to your phones for training.
  • Attendees will be expected to participate through the chat, feedback tools, and polls throughout the session. You will get more out of the session by interacting with the presenter(s) during the training.

Please note that attendance at this training session required to ensure that you have a good knowledge of the system's functionality to support effective service delivery.

DDA, therefore, urges you to come prepared to learn, practice, and ask questions. Thank you in advance for attending this training session and continuing to demonstrate your commitment to providing high-quality care for individuals receiving services and support through the LTSSMaryland system.

If you have any questions or concerns about the training session, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Matthew Ogunbukola, Program Manager at Matthew.ogunbukola@maryland.gov.

Happy Nurses Week!

New Monitoring and Follow-Up Form Addition in LTSS

Coordinators of Community Service (CCS), have you seen the new “Add” button in the Monitoring and Follow-Up (MFU) Form section in LTSS? It was made by you, for you! This will help you complete additional MFU forms in the person’s LTSS profile. For example, there may also be times when you are conducting additional monitoring and follow up visits than what is minimally required.

Remember, this wasn’t created to replace the automatically generated forms, rather to supplement. Your regional CCS Squad can then help troubleshoot any monitoring related questions. For questions, contact Nicolette.Paparoidamis@maryland.gov, Statewide Director of Coordination of Community Services.

Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) Financial Management and Counseling Services Update

PPL's contract with MDH ends soon. If you currently use PPL as your FMCS agency, please remember to choose a new FMCS agency by May 23, 2023. Anyone in your team can note your choice using this choice form:
