An Elegant Evening to Celebrate One Community

Just one month until the JFS 2023 One Community Gala! Join us for a fun-filled evening in support of JFS' mission to serve families in need from all backgrounds.

The night kicks off with a spectacular cocktail hour where you can enjoy lavish hors d’oeuvres, mingle with fellow community members and peruse dozens of silent auction items. From luxury goods to unique experiences and one-of-a-kind items, the auction has something for everyone.

After a scrumptious dinner, hit the dance floor to the rhythm of the Carla V Duo featuring Barry J. Throughout the evening, you'll learn more about the life-changing programs and services JFS provides to families across New Jersey. Show your support for the evening’s honoree, Jewish Social Service Committee. And most importantly, help make a real difference in our community. JFS Food Pantries Need Your Help

JFS' Kosher Food Pantries are facing a critical need for support. With funding cuts of more than 75%, soaring food prices, and more families requesting help each week, it's a constant struggle to keep the shelves stocked and provide assistance to those who need it most.

Every donation goes toward ensuring local families in need do not go hungry. Together, we can fight food insecurity in our community. Please consider making a critical donation to our food pantry today or hosting a Food Drive with your group or community partner. Thank you for your support!

SMP Empowers Seniors in the Fight

Against Medicare Fraud

According to estimates from the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association, U.S. taxpayers are losing more than $100 billion a year to Medicare and Medicaid fraud. JFS' Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP NJ) is part of a national effort to educate and counsel Medicare beneficiaries and their families to "prevent, detect, and report" Medicare fraud, abuse and errors.

This month, JFS' SMP staff presented a workshop at the Millburn Senior Center to increase awareness of Medicare fraud, a growing problem affecting millions of Americans each year. Participants learned how to recognize common fraud schemes and scams, such as billing for services that were never provided or selling fake medical equipment. Read more here>>
