We need your voice! ACS is building a School Improvement Plan as part of our accreditation process. As part of this process, we are gathering data from very important stakeholders to inform our decisions. This parent survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, asking questions about your and your child(ren)'s ACS experience, in order to ensure we are continuing to build upon success as a school. Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey, informing the decisions of the school!

Yearbooks will be distributed THIS FRIDAY! If we have not received payment for your child(ren)'s yearbook(s) by Friday, your child will not go home with theirs. Thank you!
Teacher appreciation week is this week. At ACS, we view this as Staff Appreciation. On May 12, the staff will have a lunch catered in to enjoy with each other. Please take an opportunity to thank staff members this week if you are able. This could mean an email, a thank you note, words of appreciation, a treat, a gift card, etc. Encourage your children to also take time to thank staff members for their work at ACS.
Staff Appreciation Luncheon: A BIG "thank you" to the many volunteers who have offered to cover classrooms for our teachers so that they can attend the annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon this week Friday! A friendly reminder that if you signed up to help the kindergarten-2nd grade teachers, please be in the classrooms by 12:00; if you signed up to help in 3rd-8th grade, please be in the classrooms by 12:45! HELP IS STILL NEEDED IN ONE KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM, ONE FIFTH GRADE CLASSROOM, A FEW MIDDLE SCHOOL ROOMS, AS WELL AS SPANISH AND ART-- please see the sign up genius if you are able to help! SIGN UP
ACS 4th Annual Kristina Moelker 5K event is TONIGHT beginning at 6:30 pm, at Allendale Public High School. You are invited to come walk/run and enjoy this event! Any questions can be directed to Deb Lamer (dlamer@allendalechristian.com).
Love Packages update! We want to extend a huge thank you to the Allendale Christian community for their generous support in donating 678 Bibles and devotional materials to Love Packages, a non-profit that sends Christian literature to developing countries. Every donation can impact 20 people and this contribution will impact 13,560 lives with the love of Christ. We also want to give a shout out to INONTIME Trucking for delivering the Bibles to a drop-off location in Chicago pro bono. Thank you for partnering with us and for helping to make a difference in the world.
The Spring Concert (5th-8th grades) will take place on May 15 at 6:30 pm at the Ceglerak Fine Arts Center (Allendale Public Auditorium next to the high school). Students should arrive at 6:00pm and there will be signs directing them to the correct areas. For the spring concert, students are asked to wear white tops and black pants. Girls are allowed to wear dresses or long skirts if preferred. On top, a nice dress shirt is preferred (either a polo, a button down shirt, or a nice blouse). You can also add a pop of color for spring in the form of an accessory like a tie, scarf, jewelry, or shoes (please no tennis shoes). I’ll trust your best discretion! If you are having a hard time finding white shirts or black pants, I have a few options at school that you can use. Thank you so much for your support this year! If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will try my best to help you out. - Miss Brummel
Class Placement Request - ACS teachers will meet this month to assign class placements for students next year, where multiple class options exist. The child’s teacher knows the situations where students will experience the most growth. Factors that are considered are academic, social, and emotional needs, as well as the boy/girl ratio balance. ACS parents should only request special consideration for their child’s classroom placement if there are extenuating circumstances. These reasons may include unique social and emotional needs, possibly that the school does not know about. Please focus your requests on the needs of your child, as opposed to a specific teacher. Please click here for the form. Forms must be turned in to the school office no later than Friday, May 12.
Summer Tutoring is available from several ACS teachers! Please contact the teacher directly to set up tutoring for your child. Click here for the schedule.
LUNCH COVERAGE - We have one more opportunity to cover lunch for our teachers. If you are able to help out this coming Monday, May 15th, please see the sign up link! Thank you for all your help with these meetings this year! Sign Up Genius link
