The Howard County Local Health Improvement Coalition (HCLHIC) is pleased to highlight the work of partner, Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services (LARS) as part of the Howard County Food Pantry Spotlight Series. The aim of this series is to increase awareness of food and nutrition resources in Howard County. Short videos are shared in an effort to decrease stigma around accessing food resources.

Members are asked to check out and share the latest food pantry spotlight video. The link to the other short videos in the series can be accessed on the HCLHIC Healthy Eating page.
The Howard County Local Health Improvement Coalition (HCLHIC) is excited to spearhead the collaborative 2023 Walktober initiatives! Walktober is celebrated in October across Maryland as part of our State's official exercise and the call to action to promote walking for physical activity and improved health for residents of all ages and abilities.

Members interested in hosting or supporting a move event in October are asked to complete the Walktober Interest form for inclusion on the Howard County Walktober page.
The Howard County Health Department (HCHD) is pleased to launch the Healthy Howard campaign to provide actions steps that residents can follow to improve their health.

Coalition members are asked to promote the campaign images widely among Howard County residents through this link.
The Howard County Health Department (HCHD) is pleased to launch the P.E.A.C.E (Perinatal Equity And Care for Everyone) Project. This initiative provides clients, families and professionals with information about prenatal, postpartum and infant resources available in Howard County.
