UPCOMING OVERNIGHT TUNNEL CLOSURES;

TWO-WAY TRAFFIC ON BRIDGE

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces upcoming overnight closures of the Belle Chasse Tunnel.

These closures will occur overnight, starting at 7:30PM of one day and ending at 5:00AM of the next day. They will take place during the following time periods:

9/11 - 9/12

9/12 - 9/13

9/19 - 9/20

9/21 - 9/22

On these evenings both lanes of the tunnel will be closed. In it's place, one lane of the current bridge will be used for southbound LA-23 traffic, creating a two-way traffic flow on the bridge. Plaquemines Parish Shariff's Office will be on site to assist.
