Personal Statement from Chaplain Covey
Jesus saved me as a 19-year-old college student and called me into full-time, vocational ministry 4 years later. After serving the local church for a decade, the Lord then called me into military ministry subsequent to the events of September 11, 2001. As I conclude 22 years of service as an active-duty Army Chaplain, the Lord has called me back into civilian ministry as a pastor. I provide leadership to the local church through preaching and teaching as well as pastoral caregiving and counseling. I strive to be a faithful workman in the Word, a compassionate presence in seasons of joy or loss, and an equipper and trainer for the work of God's Kingdom.
