Through this program, you can learn the tools to successfully manage and grow your family child care business, exploring topics around contracts and policies, marketing strategies, budget and financial management and more.

Join us in New Haven on September 11 for an opportunity to meet our New Haven Education Coaches and explore our Coaching program. You’ll learn about the advantages of partnering with a coach, delve into topics covered in sessions and gain insights on how you can get involved in coaching.

PALS Training

Save the date for Saturday, September 23! Join us for a full-day workshop at the Bridgeport office, where you’ll explore the tools for promoting active play and supporting physical activity in young children. This workshop is only open to Fairfield County-based educators.

Participants will receive certificates for 6 hours of professional development. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Public Sharing Sessions

Connecticut’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Child Care wants your feedback! The panel is working on a 5-year strategic plan to improve our child care system and they’re ready to share their work with you. The OEC is organizing a series of public sharing sessions throughout the month to present their draft plan outline and hear your reflections.

Early childhood educators can now apply for start-up, expansion, and emergency grants through the Women’s Business Development Council. The Child Care Business Opportunity Fund is designed to help licensed and aspiring child care businesses grow.
