CAA School Safety Patroller Award

Primrose Elementary School students Chase Rodgers and Isabelle Wallace were presented with the 2022-2023 CAA School Safety Patroller of the Year award for their quick actions back in March when their school bus slid into a ditch.

Vice-principal Ashley Hopkins said “They jumped right into action, making sure all students were okay and reassuring them that they were safe,” and used the skills they learned through the CAA School Safety Patrol program, when they helped the bus driver evacuate the bus and escorted their fellow classmates to safety while they waited for help.

Congratulations Chase & Isabelle!

2023 Academic Award of Excellence

Mulmur Council is proud to sponsor the Academic Award of Excellence each year at Primrose Elementary School.

This year, two recipients were recognized.

Congratulations to

Ashley Robertson and

Keira Harley

on your achievement!

Please be considerate of others if you are thinking about setting off fireworks this summer. Although many people enjoy watching the display and sounds they create there are also many who do not, including animals.

No matter its length, a firework display’s sounds can trigger panic in vulnerable populations, as well as wildlife and domestic pets like cats and dogs. Fireworks can be a significant stressor for people living with PTSD.

It can also be overwhelming for those with sensory sensitivities, including people with autism.

Please visit our website to learn more about the effects of fireworks and fireworks safety.
