Sister Jo Goolish makes a Easter Week delivery of homemade baked goods to elderly shut-ins in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to organizing a food drive for the Catholic Worker House, she and Sister Yolanda Escamilla baked poppyseed, nut and raspberry kolachki to give out to neighbors in need.

Living the Gospel: New FRC Hosts First Spiritual Program

in Pittsburgh-Area Location

Last week we told you about our new Franciscan Resource Center in Pittsburgh. Now we are happy to invite our friends in the area to share in the FRC's inaugural spiritual program and discussion. Living the Gospel Today: The Gifts & Challenges is set for 1:30 to 3 p.m. this Wednesday, May 3. Join our Sisters as, together, we reflect on the life of Jesus, explore what He calls us to live, and address the challenges of living the Gospel today. All are welcome, and no RSVP is necessary. Admission is free, but freewill offerings will be accepted.

Online Auction Benefits Our Retreat Ministry

St. Francis Center for Renewal, our retreat ministry in Bethlehem, Pa., invites our friends and alums everywhere to take part in the online auction happening now, just ahead of SFCR’s 13th Annual Gala on Saturday, May 6. A variety of great prizes and packages are up for grabs, with all proceeds benefitting the Center. Bidding is open now and runs through 9 p.m. on Friday, May 5. Please note that some items — labeled with “preview” on the auction platform Greater Giving — will be available for auction only at the Gala. Event tickets are still available, as well.
