IowaFRW Provides Great Programs!
On Saturday, April 22, the impressive Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson, Iowa provided a fitting backdrop to a stellar line up of speakers that included Vice President Mike Pence, Presidential Candidate and Author Vivek Ramaswamy, Iowa Senate President Amy Sinclair, and State Senator Jesse Green. 

"Iowa's 'First in the Nation' presidential caucuses mean that Republican groups can attract and engage with first-class conference speakers," said IowaFRW President Barbara Hames-Bryant. "It's a great time to be in Iowa!" she added.

The highlight of the conference was a 'fireside chat' interview with Vice President Mike Pence. He answered questions about his upbringing in Indiana and his faith. He didn't shy away from answering questions about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, or January 6, 2022 capitol riots.

The new Carroll County Republican Women club hosted the event, provided support at the registration desk, and conducted a successful fundraising silent auction.

Yellow Rose Award

The yellow rose was a symbol of women's suffrage and long struggle to earn the right to vote in the early 1900's.

IowaFRW annually presents a Yellow Rose Award to recognize an Iowa woman:
for her achievement in public service, advocating
for freedom and equality, effecting change, and enacting
legislation for the betterment of the citizens of Iowa.
