Crosswinds Newsletter
April 24, 2024 - Volume 718
| |
Celebrating is an important part of the life of a family. Our church family has had much to celebrate in the past few weeks and in the coming weeks as well.
For the past two Sundays, we have held baptisms in the By the Well service. On April 14th, Gabriel Nowitsky was baptized. His parents are Josh and Laura. On April 21st, Georgia Lamb was baptized. Her parents are Kyle and Hailey. During their baptisms, the church was reminded of the call to support these little ones in their faith journey, both through prayer and our witness.
| |
We also want to be in prayer for Dustin and Anna Slayton this week. They will be traveling to Belize to work with a mission team as representatives of our church. They will be serving for a week and exploring potential future partnerships for our church. Be sure to pray for their trip and the work they will be doing for the Kingdom.
This coming Sunday, we will be recognizing our graduating seniors in each of our worship services. Before they walk across the stage in May, we want to celebrate them and lift them up in prayer.
The following Sunday, May 5th, we will be welcoming our confirmation class. We have had a great class this year. We’re excited to celebrate what God is doing in their lives. During the service, some of them will be baptized as an expression of their commitment to Christ. If you have never been baptized and would like to be, we are opening the opportunity for baptisms during the By the Well service that Sunday. We will have a tank where we will be baptizing people via submersion. We will also offer baptism by sprinkling if that is your preference. If you are interested in considering baptism as a step in your faith and have not already been baptized, please contact Pastor Brady at bradyj@fmcmidlothian.org.
Again, we have a lot to celebrate. Join me in thanking God for the wonderful things He is doing through the mission and ministry of our church!
Pastor Brady Johnston

Stirred Up is a gathering of caregivers of little ones. Inspired by the gentle nudges of God, and the verses from Hebrews 10:24 and Romans 15:32, we’re fostering connections that go beyond the surface. It’s about building a foundation of trust, empathy, refreshing, encouragement, and shared experiences that can carry us through the highs and lows of parenthood!
If you are a parent or caregiver of children 5 and under longing for a sense of belonging, we invite you to join us at Stirred Up. We meet Mondays from 9-11am through May 20th in the Main Building. Our doors are open, our coffee is hot and our hearts are ready! Let’s stir up love, joy, and connection together! Join us in the main building or email Hana Chandler at hanaelise23@gmail.com
