What's Happening?


The industrial market is still strong in the Upstate of South Carolina. Although the spike in interest rates has slowed industrial growth slightly, over 15.5 million industrial SF will be delivered in the next few quarters in Spartanburg.


In the past year, several major firms have expanded to the Upstate including TTI, Custom Goods, Oshkosh Defense, and Proterra. In October 2022, BMW announced a $1.7 billion expansion.


The Upstate is responsible for over one half of the $63 billion in economic impact from the South Carolina Ports.
