Recently, there has been an increase in scam emails targeting students. The emails often appear to be from Idaho State University or ISU employees. Here are a few tips to make sure you keep your personal information safe.
- Never make any payment to an individual for University business, such as purchasing supplies, making down payments, or registration fees.
- If you receive a formal looking email from ISU with any offer, call the source and verify it.
- Look at the full email address of the sender - and look them up in the ISU directory.
- Think before you click any link in an email.
- If you are uncertain of the validity of an email, reach out to the help desk.
- Never give personal information to anyone who has contacted YOU over the phone.
